I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Mississippi State University. I expect to complete my PhD in Industrial Engineering in the Summer of 2025. My research is focused on the intersection of machine learning (ML) and optimization, with the goal of developing robust, adaptable, and efficient ML methodologies that solve real-world challenges. Specifically, my work improves the accuracy and resilience of predictive models and applies them to diverse fields, including healthcare, agriculture, business, and manufacturing industries. I have successfully collaborated with interdisciplinary teams on funded projects supported by the USDA, DHS, NIH, and Cotton Incorporated.
I am also one of the IISE Future Faculty Fellows 2023-24.
June 2025
I successfully defended my Ph.D. dissertation! I’m deeply grateful to my advisor, Dr. Haifeng Wang, my co-advisor, Dr. Mohammad Marufuzzaman, my committee members Dr. Jason Street and Dr. Junfeng Ma, colleagues, and family, who stood by me with encouragement, support, and belief.
Excited to share that I was a Runner-Up in the 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition at the PhD Colloquium, sponsored by the Council of Industrial Engineering Academic Department Heads (CIEADH)
Exciting News! Our team has been awarded 3rd place in the 2025 IISE/DAIS Data Analytics Competition. Congratulations to the team members: Abdur Rahman, Amirhossein Eskorouchi, and Manideep Kolla on this well-deserved recognition!
